Since the Valentino Rockstud collection first debuted, I have been absolutely green with envy of everyone wearing them (and they seemed to be EVERYWHERE). But after months of saving, I finally managed to put enough in my piggy bank to buy my very own pair! I have to say, they were worth every penny! What's currently on your wish list?

As I've been doing my shopping this season, I have noticed that the fashion industry as a whole seems to be moving towards neutral tones. As someone who is almost always drawn towards the brightest, most vibrant colors in the bunch, this has been somewhat of an adjustment for me. One great way I've discovered to keep your looks fun and interesting is to add in some metallics! These shoes from J.Crew (last seen here) have been on my feet almost every day since they arrived at my front door. They are the perfect mix of quirky and understated (and are also a great alternative for those who just can't seem to get into the re-emerging Birkenstock trend!)

A Day at the Beach

Over the weekend, on the way home from a family BBQ, the boyfriend and I stopped at the beach for a slice of pizza and to relax a bit before starting a new week. He (obviously) got bored after 10 minutes of being there, but I could sit and listen to the waves crash on the shore for hours and hours. What do you do to unwind?

I love the way I feel when I'm wearing cheerful colors (especially pinks)! Sometimes when I'm having a rough day I'll put on my brightest brights, grab an iced coffee and just sit in the park soaking up the sunshine. What are your "blue day" remedies?

My weekend consisted of a very rainy 4th, Saturday morning brunch and boutique shopping, followed by happy hour in the park, a Sunday afternoon family cookout and a quick trip to the beach! How did you spend your holiday weekend?
